Sources are selected by proximity to the claim. Official documentation, regulators, government statistics, standards bodies, peer-reviewed research, official filings, central banks, and international institutions take priority over summaries.
Verification rules
- Time-sensitive claims include a source and verification date.
- Calculations are recomputed from the cited or published dataset.
- Vendor claims are labeled as vendor claims unless independently tested.
- When evidence disagrees, the article explains the uncertainty.
- Short quotations are used only when wording matters; sources are not reproduced.
- Links are checked before publication and during material updates.
Every launch article also has a separate evidence-review record and an adversarial editorial-review record. “Sources and tests verified” means those checks passed; it does not mean every conclusion will remain timeless.
